At Willenaway you are just a stone's throw away from some of the best drinking destinations in the Finger Lakes! Seneca Lake is home to over 50 wineries along with a handful of breweries, cider houses, and distilleries. Whether you just want to visit one or two places or you would like us to plan a full days wine tour for you, you are in the right place! We are happy to share some of our favorites with you.

DINING

Walk right downtown and grab a cup of coffee from North New York Espresso Bar or indulge in a slice of pizza from Jerlando’s. Franklin Street in Watkins Glen is less than a 10 minute drive and has an incredible variety of eateries. With several different cuisines represented ranging from casual to fine dining, you won’t be disappointed. Looking for a more unique experience? Have dinner on the water on Captain Bill’s Dinner Cruise!

OUTDOORS

No matter the season, you will not be short of outdoor activities! Montour Falls was given its name with good reason, after all. At Willenaway you are within walking distance to Shequaga Falls - a site to be seen! Watkins Glen State Park is less than 3 miles down the road where you can hike and experience some of the most beautiful waterfalls and gorges in the area. Not even another mile further and you are right on the shores of Seneca lake. Have a picnic at Clute Park or rent a kayak and hit the water. Have you experienced autumn in the Finger Lakes yet? If not, you don’t want to miss it! The magnificent views are truly one of a kind.

ENTERTAINMENT

The Historic District of Montour Falls is the home of The Brick Tavern Museum which holds exhibits illustrating the rich history of Schuyler County. Less than 5 miles away is Watkins Glen International - one of NASCAR’s most famous tracks. You can also check out the history of motorsports at The International Motor Racing Research Center. Live music is easy to find during the summer down the road in Watkins Glen. Don’t miss out on visiting Corning Museum of Glass - a globally visited museum full of extraordinary glass work.
